Just to reassure everyone, the Counseling Centre called my phone about two hours after I made yesterday's post (so, basically, during class discussion time. Embarrassing!) about making an appointment. I'm meeting with the same lady for an hour on Monday. This time I shall firmly establish that I'm going to see if I can get by without a weekly meeting. I mean, I haven't had an appointment with a therapist in almost a month, and while I'm stressed, I'm not yet melting down -- and it's not like moving to another country and starting graduate school is a low-stress situation!

So thank you to everyone who was worried. Love you guys <3

Also, purchased BoltBus tickets for the trip down to Seattle and back for the ALA Midwinter meeting! Round trip = $22. Transport to and from the BoltBus stops also worked out (the bus pass I get through the school also covers the Skytrain, woot!) So I feel like I accomplished stuff. Plus, cohort is totally jealous that I get into the ALA Midwinter meeting for free because I know an ALA member who's bringing me in as a minion. I promised to take notes and tell them all about it.

I'm glad that your campus counselors didn't screw you over. I think sometimes the bureaucracy forgets that there are real people with imperfect lives in need of its services - it isn't very forgiving.
